Atiku Abubakar, the former Nigerian vice president, said his meeting with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike was constructive.
This was revealed by Atiku, who landed in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, when interacting with journalists on Thursday.
In 2019, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) former presidential candidate announced he was in Port Harcourt to reconcile with Governor Wike on party matters and position the party to take over power at the center in 2023.
Nigerians, he claims, can’t wait for the PDP to take office in 2023.
In his words” I came here to reconcile with the governor on party affairs and how we can ensure that there is unity and stability in the party so that we can take over the government in 2023.
“I believe Nigerians can’t wait for 2023 to come, so that PDP will return.”
The former Vice President also described Wike as the “top most” governor in Nigeria going by his developmental strides.
