Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has accused the federal government of ignoring banditry in the north while concentrating on agitators.
Sani claimed that the Federal Government prioritized Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba Nation agitator, over him.
Banditry, according to the former congressman, poses a greater security threat than IPOB and Igboho.
He emphasized that the north would be a safer place if the federal government combated terrorism with the same zeal as it did secessionists.
