Armed Fulani Bandits Attack Travelers In Jos, Scores Feard Killed

Suspected bandits have shot and killed an unknown number of travelers in Plateau State’s Jos North Local Government Area.
The victims were driving through Jos when they were ambushed by bandits who opened fire on their vehicles, according to reports.
As of the time of compiling this report, the whereabouts of a few of the victims were unclear. The morgue at Plateau Specialist Hospital has received at least 15 bodies.
When the assailants hit, they were in a convoy of five 18-seater buses, according to Muhammad Ibrahim, one of the passengers who escaped the attack.
They were returning from a ceremony commemorating the Islamic New Year in Bauchi State, he said.
The event took place at Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s mosque in Bauchi State, according to Ibrahim.
He claimed, “We ran into the armed group in the Gada-Biyu region of Jos North Local Government Area.”
