Breaking! Tears in Imo as Unknown Gunmen Open Fire At Traditional Rulers, Kill Five

At least five traditional rulers are said to have been slain by gunmen at the Nnenasa community headquarters in Imo State’s Njaba local government area.

According to sources, around 20 traditional rulers from the area were in a meeting at the community’s local government offices when gunmen stormed in, interrupted the meeting with intermittent gunshots, and killed at least five traditional rulers on the spot, Igbere TV reports.

Those who received serious bullet wounds were taken to a neighboring hospital for treatment.

When contacted, the Imo state police public relations officer, Mike Abatam, said he was yet to get the full details of the incident.
